To those who don't know me or didn't notice, I've been off line for pretty much two months now. I've finally resurfaced to sugarland and am thrilled to see that this group has grown so much since I last signed on. Thanks for joining all!
I just recently moved from one of the lovely boroughs that is Queens and let me just say it feels awesome. I lived in Forest Hills, which is a great area (especially if you want to have a family and not be too too far from the city). However if you want to enjoy all that Manhattan has to offer, it's so much nicer to actually live in Manhattan. It's an amazing change, the village is so convenient and so alive... there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from and I love being so close to Union Square! Of course there are drawbacks... for example: rent... way higher as you can well imagine; space: so much smaller than in Queens, which isn't all that big to begin with... but it's all about compromise and what your priorities are . Now, I'm at a point in my life where i want to enjoy myself and discover things... so I feel I've made a good move.
I'm sorry if this post got kind of personal, but I feel you need to get personal with this city in order to survive and enjoy the ride.

Welcome back!!! I love Forest Hills...My mom and I would always go there on Saturdays to get a nice breakfast at one of the local diners! I so miss that now that I am in Los Angeles!
